The Concept
The re-designed 2025/2026 Destination Guide pays homage to Berkeley’s counterculture roots and progressive spirit. Throughout the magazine,” Bay Area Basecamp” callouts position Berkeley as an easy, affordable place to stay. An expanded history section sheds light on Berkeley’s ground-breaking past (this is where the free speech movement first began), and shares a glimpse at what life is like in this vibrant college town.
The Numbers
Thanks to community support, we added 15 pages to the magazine and increased the print run to tell Berkeley’s story to a wider audience. The 38-page dining and drinks guide is a comprehensive look at all the delicious flavors of Berkeley. This is the birthplace of California cuisine after all!
